@j84e Sorry, Cotto is just a SORE LOSER. Some people in Puerto Rico have been trying since the day he lost to Maro to FIRST say Margarito was on steroids. Now we are supposed to believe that the Nevada State Commission let Margarito enter the ring with blocks of cement on his hands? WRONG Then Cotto gets killed by Pacquiao and again the excuses, Pacquiao is on steroids. Cotto has been given a cake walk and still had his face messed up by a shot Margarito. Revenge? More like Pity.

@boxinginfo, in that case, most great fighters are 'sore losers.' I seem to remember your boy Manny saying that wearing the wrong socks, amongst other things, cost him the first fight with Morales. Cotto handled the Margarito issue well, for my money. How can you blame him for the actions of millions of partizan Puerto Ricans? I agree we'll never know for sure whether Marg was guilty, but is it just a coincedence that he suddenly became useless after being rumbled prior to the Mosley fight?

Second to answer your last question, I have gone on record many times saying that both Margarito and Cotto would never be the same after their first fight and they are shells of who they used to be b/c they beat it out of each other. The difference is Margo has been thrown to the lions and Cotto w/ the exception of Pac and maybe Clottey has had easy touch after easy touch. Margo can only be useful so long fighting the way he does.

@cosmiblue1027 Yes its bound to happen between orthodox and southpaws. This looked flagrant to me and it was a good tactic on Marquez' part because it totally negated Pacquiao's ability to move in and out. Totally legal but questionable IMO. The legendary Willie Pep did this in the 2nd of his 4 fights with the great Sandy Saddler in the only fight Pep won vs. Saddler and he DID this deliberately b/c Pep knew Saddler had corns on his feet and it hurt like hell, good tactic if you get away with it

@boxinginfo What do you think of Mayweathers BS fighting Miguel Cotto lol, also Floyd calling Pac over twitter to fool the public into thinking he really wanted Pacman, He never once traveled 1 mile in las vegas from his house to top ranks offfice to discuss the fight with Arum, Koncz gave the real deal, he went back and forth to floyd and manny and Floyd he said was very friendly, but his demands were unreal, he refused 5050 and ppv split with Manny, Floyd wanted everything his way

@boxinginfo, I don't really begrudge Cotto taking on a few patsies such as Jennings, Foreman and Mayorga given the very high level of opposition he's faced over his career - even then, I'd say that his opposition since 2008 has been better than many other so-called 'world champions.' To me, Cotto has been one of the few 'good guys' left in boxing over the past few years; I, for one, was very happy when he reversed the Margarito result, but that's just me, I suppose.

@boxinginfo i said to my fellow puertoricans , the hand wraps are shit .the only 2 problems for cotto in the margo 1st fight was stamina . i don't care what people said about margo . the guy hits hard . so, if you stay on the ropes ala cotto , you get hurt.but islander you jump on the bandwagon of margo when he beat cotto. that's ok. but you have to give cotto credit . he never refuse to fight anybody.don't get me wrong i'm with you .on the hand wraps drama of hbo and the puertoricans .
