On February 24th, 2009, Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) questioned Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about how the Obama Administration will seek to end Joseph Kony's atrocities across central Africa.

"You know, I have been following the Lord's Resistance Army for more than 15 years. I just don't understand why we cannot end this scourge, and we're going to do everything we can to provide support we believe will enable us to do that," said Clinton.

Senator Feingold - who is the chief author of the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act - was moved to ask his question by the show of incredible support in Congress for an end to LRA violence. Due to activist mobilization across the country, the landmark legislation now has more than 60 cosponsors in the Senate and 150 in the House of Representatives.
