  • @Oleh2011 He's never going to king though, he's just a prince.

  • Wow, only in Sweden will a personal trainer become King of Sweden before a real Prince; Carl Philip... that's messed-up.

  • @adelgado75 Yes In some citys moore then 10 %

  • @annasophia1123 (I wrote a missplaced reply meant for you above, I wasn't really gonna bother about it though, but then I stumbled over something on wikipedia.)

    - Look up the word "diadem" -It features that "fake tiara"... ;-)

(and, no, I have no part in that article.)

  • @Meneope -No, it's not really a cathedral. It is, however, the oldest church in Stockholm, founded in the 13th century. It's right next to the palace and has been used for various ceremonies of state since the 14th century.

It's called the "Great Church" of Stockholm and is the parish church of the Old Town, though in1942 it also became the "bishops church" of the new Diocese of Stockholm. Recently it's been called the "Stockholm Cathedral", but to me this is a missnomer.

  • There was a lot more, of course, to the wedding than the ceremony itself (depicted here). Apart from other clips here, I recomend the wikipedia article about it. (search: Wedding of Victoria)

  • @adelgado75 Oh yes, certainly. Not *very* many, but enough not to raise any eyebrows, at least not in more urban areas. Its difficult to say exactly how many, since any kind of collecting of data or record-keeping (including statistics) concerning race is illegal here.

Several members of parlament are colored, as is one of the ministers in the present administration.

(Only fifty years ago though, a dark skinned person would be sure to turn a few heads.)

  • @Lisahurst -no, sorry I can see you didn't, my comment was actully meant for annasophia1123, just seem to have clicked the wrong comment... ;-)

  • @martinaake I didn't actually say it was fake I just said I thought Princess Mary's Ruby tiara is amazing. I also didn't say that her dress wasn't nice, I just said it was plain but then it suits her personality and her dress sense. Yikes...

  • Are there any people of color in Sweden?
