'Guest Host or Around & About, mulls over emotions and interpretations, analogies and etymologies by splicing together disparate visual and audio tracks. A gull is perched on a revolving fast food sign and the bird occasionally turns itself around against the rotation to maintain its orientation; the soundtrack, taken from an anonymous YouTube clip, consists of what seems to be a self-help lecture introducing two senses of the word feeling -- feeling as in one's sensibilities or the tactile sense.' -- Max Andrews

Lee Welch (IRL/USA) recently completed an MFA at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam, and is currently based in the International Residential Studio at the Red Stables, Dublin. He received the Banff Residency at The Banff Centre, Canada (2010). Recent exhibitions (2011) include: Screening Room: Dublin - Kölnischer Kunstverein, Cologne, Germany; Amikejo, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León (MUSAC), León, Spain and (WHOOPEE) we're all going to die, Pallas Projects, Dublin, Ireland.
