@Strefanasha It's about being humble enough to admit one is wrong and I believe the first point is still a valid one. They were wrong and the churches used it's authority like they do now in days with social issues. Yeah, back then people didn't have internet or access to space telescopes but they had churches and hearsay.

As for your bible passage on circles, how do you KNOW they weren't just talking about being on top of a hill and looking all around, would the world seem to look like a circle? I'm pretty sure those goat herders meant that!

@sybite It's Christians who pioneered modern education in much of the world. U do not have any statistics to prove what you just said - if you just "study" and "research" what I stated at the start of this reply, you'll begin to think. One shouldn't depend on 2nd-hand and 3rd opinion. U made a lot of statements without backin up your claims. I can say in my life: I HAVE TASTED AND SEEN THAT THE LORD IS GOOD! & the Holy Bible says the earth looks like a circle from no matter which side you look!!

@SATAKARNI9 The religious always make the claim that atheists simply havn't done their homework and don't know the religion. The reality is the exact opposite. Most atheists ARE atheists because the HAVE studied religion. Education is the biggest enemy religion has. Every research proves that the more religions a population the less educated. The fact is that our places of higher education are full of atheists and our PRISONS are filled with christians. Sorry. Reality and evidence can hurt.
