Entre Ave y Eva
hay una gran diferencia.
Pues si Eva nos arrebató
el Paraíso y a Dios,
con el Ave (María) nos lo dio;
por lo tanto, amigos míos:
Eva nos echó en la
prisión del demonio,
y el Ave nos sacó de ella;
y por este motivo:
Eva nos hizo perder
el amor y la gracia de Dios,
y el Ave nos lo hizo recobrar;
y por eso:
Eva nos cerró
los cielos sin llave,
y María abrió
las puertas por el Ave.
Twixt Ave and Eva
there is a great difference.
For Eva took us away
from heaven and from God,
Ave puts us back there.
That is why, my friends:
Eva had us bewitched
by the devil in his prison;
and Ave brought us out from there;
and for that reason:
Eva caused us to lose
the love of God and Righteousness;
Ave brought it back to us
again; and for that:
Eva kept us shut in,
far from heaven, without the keys,
and Mary broke open
the doors with Ave.
@gardenofmushi True, the languages are very similar. However , Cantigas de Santa Maria is from Galicia , Spain. Not from Portugal.

@gardenofmushi The truth is it's not even portugues..............It's only Galician , that Galician is similar to Protuguese doesn't mean it has to do anything with Portugal.
