DSLR Controller is the first and only app that will allow you to control your Canon EOS DSLR from a compatible Android device over USB. You need a Honeycomb tablet or an SGS2 (with KG1 or newer firmware) and a USB host (OTG, On-The-Go) cable / adapter for this.

It is now available from Market (desktop link):

  • v0.75 and newer works on a select number of ROOTED GINGERBREAD 2.3.1+ devices, like the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note !

(Samsung Galaxy Note is the awesomest devices to use with DSLR Controller so far!)

  • @Danzairox - Nonsense.

@restw1 - It depends. If you have an Android Tablet that has a full-size USB port (like the ones on your computer) you do NOT need a special cable. Devices with only microUSB ports need an OTG cable. A normal microUSB-USB cable will NOT work.

  • To all of those requesting features, features will come when the base is strong. There are quite a few compatibility issues to work out between the different Canon EOS models, and we're working hard to get those fixed.

Once that is done, it will be feature galore, but let's not get ahead of ourselves - it will be a while.

    To answer two common questions:

    - iPhone/iPad: no iOS support is planned at the moment.

    - Canon 40D / 400D / 450D: Support is flaky, working on it - wait a few updates :)

  • I guess the dislikes on this video is pure envy?

  • @satankittyfail iphone 4 is a piece of shit, Galaxy S2 is far more superior. I would know because I've used both. You probably didn't even touch a GS2
