The sick man of Europe: yesterday Greece, today Italy, tomorrow any number of possibilities. Meanwhile, we see more comparisons of the US economy to Japan's Lost Decade. We speak to Steve Keen, economics professor and author of Debunking Economics, who saw these events all coming years in advance. Why did so many other economists miss them and why might their training mean they'll continue to? And as we see Occupy Wall Street protests continue, should people be occupying economics departments at universities, too?

Great show as always. Thank you once again for all the GREAT financial information. Your entire cast does a good job. Alyona has nothing on Lauren's show lmao. (joking)

Btw... All the weird comments with the even weirder youtube names are either the same person or some 46 year old virgin brothers living at home with their grandparents.

Pity that the Austrians didn't predict that the Euro currency is a total disaster waiting to happen, otherwise they wouldn't have joined.

Lauren Lyster should put on high heels and walk around, she certainly has no clue about economics

I would agree Austrian Economics lacks intellectual rigour, thank goodness that Prof Steven Keen is AUSTRALIAN, not Austrian.

The quality of RT's guests really put the western media to shame.

"Occupy the universities" is getting to sound like a good idea. Our local university has turned into a web of policy institutes run by "holier than thou" academics as a breeding ground for the next generation of elites. Meanwhile the student loan bubble is driving up tuition costs and academic salaries and will assure that the graduates remain in debt forever as they search for non existent jobs.
