I just came from Carreño's farewell performance in New York. It was Swan Lake, and Susan Jaffe performed as the Queen Mother. They were obviously delighted to be on stage together again. It added so much to the specialness of the occasion. He is the best partner I've ever seen in over 35 years of watching ballet. He'll be sorely missed.
