  • My wife and I were just travelling to Sheffield from Blackpool, we put on our ELO Greatest Hit's c.d. and sang the whole way into Sheffield. We were visiting much loved family but, how we could have gone on and on singing. Just like teenagers we felt again. Another beautiful memory, helped created by the genius of Jeff Lynn and the boy's. TRUE CLASSICS NEVER DIE OR FADE AWAY !!!!

  • ELO just didn't put out a bad song. No matter how many years have gone by since their debut album, their talent, musicianship, and brilliance never ceased to amaze me. Since my first taste on 8-track, I made it a necessity to own every album they released and still play them today...though a few had to be replaced by CD's, which take away from the sound of vinyl. But, just the same, their music will never get old. Thanks for sharing such a great tune.

    beautiful

    just amazing .

  • @codern From the little I've heard of RW, that doesn't sound like a good idea. But, there is almost nothing written that doesn't have a fragment "borrowed" (with a change or 2), from somewhere. Listen to this, followed by "Dizzy" by Tommy Roe and you'll know what I mean. Sometimes it's subtle and cleaver, other times (eg. the opening of "Keep on Rocking Me" by Steve Miller) it's just too close and kind of annoying. If every song had to be 100% original, they'd run out of good ones.

  • concerto for a rainy day, only you jeff :)

  • How in the world did it take me 36 years to discover this song??? This is one of their catchiest tunes ever!

  • @MrBlueSkyMrNight No problem. :-)

  • @codern, you're an idiot. that string set was from 'you only live twice' the bond theme with nancy sinatra.

  • @no1elofaniknow - Your right Roy Wood is not dead! Carl Wayne of the

"pre" ELO band The Move had passed away. Thanks for catching my

    mistake. And...forgive me Roy!
