The map is Slate Creek by Draw the Line.

A central power weapon was needed...and a rocket launcher was too powerful and a sword and hammer weren't competitive enough for the tournament...so the spartan laser was a natural choice. The map has mid to long ranges of sight in the right places, so it has it's own use within the map.
