Am Sunderland and i am not from any sort of background that would make me a loyalist. I am the oppisote- thats irrelevant.
Though i think they don't mean Ulster loyalism or loyalism to the crown or anything like that. It's born out of the city being a naval one and it comes from the hools in the 80's and the troubles in Ireland and shit. A lot of sunderland ppls was in army.
