@skittles2590 - - Look. Lalas is certainly not the best player to have ever touched a ball, but he's recognizable and is using that to draw new people to the sport in the USA. People like you (and me) who have followed soccer for years and who know the reality of how MLS stacks up against major European domestic leagues (hint: it doesn't) are NOT the people he's trying to draw in. He's trying to get the new people - maybe whose kids are starting to play - into the game. Let's support him.

we should stop looking at Alexi Lalas like he knows soccer. He is the biggest fail at soccer ever since he retired. as a player he was great but now he just says stuff to get a reaction. the most uncredible person in soccer.
