you clearly have headed into this with bias, having watched angel first, i watched all in the right order, and buffy is better, willow and spike in there long run ensured buffy as the better show, but both are amazing! also you said glory wasnt a good villian omg better than all the villians on angel! however i will say the darla angel arc was quality! the addition of spike in s5 was a master stroke! but btvs is obvs superior!

@seven7ofnine By that logic I could say your bias because you watched buffy first.Buffy's first season is iffy and after season 4 Buffy gets bad (the show and the character herself becomes intolerable relying solely on her supporting cast to make the show watchable) while all of Angel is fantastic.

Season 5 of buffy is far better than season 2 of angel. Buffy was trying to stop an evil hellgod and saved the world by sacrificing herself while angel was going out of his way just to make wolfram and hart look stupid

@treckter66 Sounds cool how you wrote it. Problem being that all of buffy season 5 until the last ep is the most painful that show ever was with every scene featuring buffy feeling like nails on chalkboard. And every scene with Dawn feels like Freddy's glove on chalkboard. It is easily the worst thing ever put out by Whedon.

@blowshimselfupdude how is season 5 the worst thing put out by whedon?. sure dawn is a whiner but it has a better villain than season 4 and it shows that buffy's responsibilities are beginning to overwhelm her, how would you expect her to react? and how is season 2 of angel better than season 5 of buffy.

Angel is way better than Buffy, and when spike came on the show in season 5, shit was the greatest thing on earth, even spike himself aid he enjoyed being on Angel more than he ever was on Buffy

The biggest triumph of Angel was that I begrudgingly ended up watching it after hating Angel, Wesley, and Cordelia on Buffy (well, I liked Cordy ok) and ended up loving them and missing them more than anyone on Buffy. The character assassination of everyone(except Giles and Anya) on Buffy in the last 2 seasons was just so...effective that I dont really like them anymore.

@blowshimselfupdude You are wrong about Buffy as a character. Being caring and loving is key component of her character. The only reason why she is a Slayer is because she care about people around her. That's what I like about her: she don't want to be a Slayer, she don't want to be a hero, but she is doing this anyway because being a Slayer is only way to protect people she loves. She sacrifice herself twice to protect humanity, took a bullet for Xander,and constantly risk her life for others.

I disagree with you completely when you say that Oz and Willow could have their own shows. They are good support characters but no way could they carry their own seperate shows.

I agree that Angel is a better show.
