Some brief clips of our visit to the Mauna Kea observatory. Our guides were very proud of their work and about what the mountain means on a scientific and a spiritual level. This was in late May and the temperature was about 35F and the wind was blowing at a steady 19-25mph. Brrr!

English translation of the "E Ho Mai" chant:
Give forth knowledge from above
Every little bit of wisdom contained in song
Give forth, give forth, oh give forth

Also, don't hate on the singing. She was extremely cool, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. If only everyone in their world could be as happy with their career as she appeared to be. She and her partner guide made the whole experience fun and accessible.
