this isnt cruel or inhumane. i hate it when they put the weights on the horse and make them suffer by putting diesel on their ankles and pick their feet up. you are a good breeder and rider and definately know what your doing with your horses!!!

I like the fact that she's barefoot. :) I hate when they weight the feet...

beautiful mare. you must trust her to be riding in flips. i had a mustang at one point that i walked barefoot around he only stepped on my foot once and that was when i was unloading him the first time and i had shoes on then XD

beautifull:D
Is 2 1/2 yrs old quite young to be backing a horse. In england we leave it till about 3-4 as their development is pretty much complete in their back and are strong enough to take weight without causing back problems for them when they are older. Not saying you're cruel or us english do it better, just intrigued into how the Amercians see it! :)

@LaurenMaherFilms We have 24-yr-old horses that we started as 2-1/2 yr olds, backed them, trail rode them, side passed, them, and at 24 years of age, they are pushing cattle for us now and trail riding. Apparently, the backing didn't hurt ours! Probably not so much fact as much difference in culture and/or beliefs.
