On their third album "Black Wave Rising" I Walk The Line from Helsinki, Finland deliver 11 anthems of powerful hooks wrapped in a flood of guitars and keyboards. Including the snottiest punk songs the band has written to date, as well as synth-driven new wave style tracks and all aspects in between. This is by far the bands strongest material to date, building on their previous work and goes some way to capturing the bands live raw energy, combined with strong melodies and singer/songwriter Ville's distinctive voice and heartfelt lyrics. They present us their modern punk rock mixture, part Murder City Devils, part Rocket from the Crypt, part Social Distortion and The Clash, fuelled with a cool organ and this typical nordic melancholy. "Black Wave Rising", the third chapter in their musical journey, sees them traveling an impressively less-worn road. Intelligent and well-crafted songs abound, captured in old-fashioned earthy analogue, giving proceedings a less clinical feel than the norm.
