Hi, I am Jorik Museeuw. Some of you may think im just lieing about this. I'm 17 years old and my uncle is Johan. Most of peoples say he took epo & drugs to win. Well i'll say, he only took drugs in the last races of his carriere. He never took drug in 1 of his races b4, only in the scheldenprijs. So stop saying he sucks or whatever cuz he was the greatest racer ever seen. Tom Boonen is nothing in what he did. Tom boonen won alot of races in 3 years, now he sucks....museeuw won races in 10y +!

indeed hu used stuff, and his opponents used the same - we're talking 90'ies cyclism here people wake up - but the others still couldn't follow - because he was just built for it, had the legs, the heart, the lungs and the hardfitted head to finish it - so he beat them all

Yeah, he used drugs, but they were endemic. Not many could ride like that and his courage and aggression were entertaining and enlivened the sport.

PS I'm not saying drugs aren't bad, but it's not black and white in cycling's history.

these posts, or rather the people that type them, confuse me. So what if he did drugs, he's simply a bike racer - it's nothing in comparison to a pedophile, murderer or rapist, if you're a normal balanced human being, surely ?

Museeuw only admitted his drugs use AFTER it became clear he couldn't keep the secret hidden. His confession was a strategical decision trying to reduce the damage. It's also the reason why he lied about using drugs only in the latter years of his career, while it's common knowledge he also used in the 90's. You have to be really gullible to believe him.
