I am looking at using fridge compressor to store the gas in propane bottles. This would make a new record posible? Please send your reply as this has never been done before?

while you are correct in the amount of loss in your tank there are 2 reasons i would be doing a build in the future when i have the time and money one being basically free fuel and the other you just need to make a larger tank to get farther on one fill up

Why do you think marijuana is illegal? If you ran a gasifier off pot you could go forever.

This is very old technology , been around prior to first world war, there is no way to patent this unless a new step or proceedure is used in the equipment.

Yeah but there are limits, like the weight of the metal tank means more losses carting it around. If you use light weight composite tanks you are limited to less compressed volume of gas and extra cost for the tank, lost space inside the vehicle due to size of tank. Worst of all in this country and the US once a fuel is stored it is liable for fuel taxes on volume regardless of energy contained in the fuel gas. Storing wood coffee waste etc is free.

They cant. The information is too freely available, and patents are exact. Youd 'just need to bend the pipes a different way and voila, patent avoided.

Besides a vehicle this dangerous would never be allowed on the road, so the oil companies need not worry

The idea has been around for a long while [public domain] and was used during WWII in parts of the world to fuel cars. Looking to build something myself for a bit of fun ;)
