  • Both of the modules I refer to above do not implement permissions matrices, but they do offer greater flexibility of configuration for input formats and taxonomy respectively.

    (Stupid character count is too low :p )

  • If this whet your appetite but you want something to play with NOW, check out the "better formats" module for Drupal 6.

    This "peeve" could also be applied to taxonomy - perhaps you want an administrator-only taxonomy, or you only want certain roles to be able to edit/add taxonomy vocabs? This could be solved by adding further permissions to the perms matrix George refers to.

    To solve that problem now, go look at the "taxonomy delegate module" which should help with that.
