You got me pissed homie!!! Not at you but because you speak the truth!!! I work in a GC and for the last 3 years I have been seeing those "hip hop" products come and go. The put hip hop in the name and it sells for a while, until folks start talking about how garbage it is. I love and have Maschine, but it has been out for 3 years and NI STILL got folks hanging waiting for common features - timestretch!!!

You called it, If it was a true MPC with the ability to interface directly with the computer like Maschine, it would be game over. MPC users value the stand alone hardware & with computer integration it would have truly separated it from the competition. MPC used to stand for "Media Production Center." This new unit is defined as "Media Production Controller." I am not against the evolution of products, but the MPC-R and what we have come to know as the MPC are very different things.

Sold my MPC 2000xl. Got the same beats by using FL studio and blow cats away in beat battles who using all these Tritons, MPC and Protools. You have to have that hear and creativity. 9th Wonder is a prime explain. People clowned him for using FL studio and that turned into a record with Jayz. Yea so many think you have to have protools and everything else to make good music.

Computers have only recently become cheap/stable enough to run these applications live. An mpc 2500 has it's own built in computer, audio card, etc. That's why that shit is SO much more expensive. Your complaint is ego centric... Look at it from a newbs perspective... They can now jump into the game at half price and have expandable features all on the same computer their parents bought them to do homework on. You got this shit backwards.
