does anyone know of any other tunings besides open g that you can tune the guitar to, to have it sound good using the slide piece? I tried using one and it seems so limited what you can play with it, or songs that can be played in that tuning period.

@Dukabor You are right that it is open E, sort of...it is an open G tuning, tuned down 3-half steps. He is using medium gauge strings and standard tuning would kill the guitar.

I've seen him in concert several times. One time someone shouted out a request for "Everybody Lies."

He sheepishly admitted that, in concert, he only plays songs and tunes that he can remember.

During that same show, he told a hilarious story about the word "if."

one of the most enjoyable things, I've found, about attending Leo's shows is the stories that accompany the music. :)
