Twenty one people were arrested yesterday evening (Thursday, December 6) in an operation between North Wales Police and the Border and Immigration Agency.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of facilitating the illegal entry of illegal immigrants and 19 people have been detained under immigration powers as they are suspected of being illegal immigrants. The 19 people will now be interviewed during today by the border and immigration Agency.
The arrests and detentions have all been made yesterday evening after warrants were executed at addresses in the Rhyl and Ruthin areas under the Immigration Act.
It was an intelligence led operation involving officers from North Wales Police and the Border and Immigration Agency.
A quantity of cash has also been seized during the raids under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
