  • I think he has some of the dates wrong...

    His first Prototypes were displayed at NAMM( January 1989)...repolished..then forwarded to

    Stan Jay(who is mentioned here) at Mandolin Brothers in NY... To which I saw,on the way to Washington DC in early April 89' ,with my brother and wife, the first Prototype (A) Blonde J200...put a deposit on our way back...paid and picked up soon after.

    To view this first Prototype guitar..while it is there..go to ebay and search Gibson J200 Prototype A Guitar.

  • 3:00 - Epiphone was bought by Gibson before Steiberger. Just saying.
