@ExerciseRiderMissE thxs for telling me
-
@mbrhorse12 Weight is really the only thing that matters.... you need to be 105 for your apprenticeship year.
-
@futurejockey8 oh thanks for letting me know that
-
@mbrhorse12 nope, you're good. And height doesn't matter. It's all about weight. When you start out you gotta weigh around 102-107 because of the 10 pound weight allowance.

hi i am 17 years old and i am 5ft 7 and a half inches tall, i weigh 50KG (8 stone) i have sent in a application to the British Racing School in Newmarket i am a female the tallest jockey is 5 ft 11 inches and he is a male. i lovethis video

@TheAnastasiaLee Yes, you are light enough.... of course you must first become an exercise rider before you can become an apprentice jockey ( you are an appr. jockey for one year after you win your first 4-10 races.... depending on where you come from.... then you are a normal jockey) and appr.. jockey's only have to weigh 102-105 in street clothes.... the reason why appr. jockeys have to be so light is so trainers will hire them.... I hope this makes sense and hope it helped

i hope i get to 6 foot lol
Beautiful video! My dream is to be a jockey...it's the first thing I think about when I wake up and the last thing I think about when I go to sleep. :) This video is very inspirational...after watching videos like this, I know nothing can stop me.
Thanks. :)

Hi, I ill be 14 in 3 days, I am 4 foot 10 1/2 inches tall, and I weigh 91 pounds. (I am a girl.) Could I be a jockey. I just finished a massive growth spurt, I grew 5 inches in one year. And I had a checkup at th doctors, and she said I was almost done growing, That I would probably only getto 5 foot 3 inches.
Do you Think I am small enough?
