[How To] Play Playstation 1 (PS1) Backups on Playstation 2 Slim (NOT FAT PS2, No BS)

Note: This method is NOT compatible with FAT PS2. This clarification was added because youtube user giodemon was frustrated believing this tutorial also worked on FAT PS2 when I had no text or video notes describing it does.]

Yes, it is true. Using Free Mcboot and the PS2 Slim, you can boot PSX backups. Watch the video and see how easy it is.

Pre-Reqs:
* Playstation 2 console (slim or fat) v9 and higher.
* A PSX game (real), and a backed up PSX game.
* U-Launch Elf disc (only if you don't have Free McBoot installed).
* Swap magic 3.6 or equivalent (mod-chip is ok too)
* Free Mcboot Package. Download here: http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=exploit.html

Get the latest version. Extract contents of zip file to USB thumb drive. Install by watching my other Free McBoot tutorial.

Viewers, if you dont want to purchase swap magic, you can just:

(Slim PS2)- Cover up the three sensors so it doesn't know you switched out the game

(Phat PS2)-Open up case of the console and actually lift up the disc and switch it.

I did that for my Phat, super simple.

@bleedingxxaurora I acknowledge your mod, and I had swap magic a long time ago so it was not that big of a deal for me to do the mod, but with your method, don't get me wrong, there is risk associated with it. It's not the super safe mod for your PS2, because you got to do the swap live, and over time, the motor can fail because of this. I've seen it happen to other people, so thats all I got to say on the subject. More power to you!
