...If you havent' played this game and you are a mangt enthusiast, try to find it (its very hard) and take a look at it...It really worths it, as long as you remember to set the skill to super-star (pretty musch the only slider available)

...Having tried to build teams exclusivelly out of created players, I found that even the greatest of talents are not guaranteed to become HOFs, unless you follow the same rules as real life basketball mgt..You cant just pack a squad with top-5 talents at each position an d hope they all progress together . Most likely they will progress at the expence of one-another, especially ir your top players are both FWs or Gs or only back-court/front-line balanced, disregarding their individual potential

..than most engines that came out later on (espn 2k9 engine remains the Best ever, while 2k4 had the best player PROGRESSION system of all-time). I've been playing this game again after many years and its awesome how simple, effective and complete it is...As for the mgt game lovers, like me, it holds a uniqueness like none other game- you CAN'T save at any point of the preseason which only gives a single shot on each draft class- no re-makes, which adds to each new game you start..

...all the major trades of the decade (boston big-3,shaq/payton to Mia, Sonics desolvement etc) and ended up with a 28-team, 8-man roster of players that actually made a career, in which I usually add a created expansion team(mem/no/okc)...Now the IMPORTANT part...I only watch the games never play, so in order to have a great visual effect that translates players skills , you have to set the game to superstar skill...while the game play lacks in variety of "sequences" the engine is far better ..

I have EVERY nba live and nba 2k title that has EVER come out since THIS particular game that hooked me forever in dynasty mode...,nba live 2000, espn 2k4,espn 2k9 and 2k11(for the MyP mode- 2k12 sucks) are still -in that order- the BEST I've ever seen...all attempts to improve on those games in afterward years only "damaged" them...Still this is 2012 and here I am playing this amazing game(on the original cd that never had a cover-amazing durability!), created a roster with...

@ThePantyDroper I'm 21 and I played NBA Live for such a long time, but back then I didn't consider graphics as a main thing to have fun on playing games. Now times has changed and when I see graphics like this it's so funny that I used to play games with bad graphics :) btw. I'm from Poland.

@moris911 How old are you? Back when I was a kid games were nothing like this. Our games didn't even have sound. I got my first PC in 93 and the most advanced game was 2 gorillas standing across from each other throwing a banana one at a time and trying to hit each other.
