@mjrandles good, i hope those dishonest business owners who hire illegals all go out of business like they deserve to. it should make way for the honest and the law abiding.
this is so dumb, undocumented people are committing a crime, and need to be deported, u need to follow the law, you cant have a lawless society, if you want to immigrate do it the right way
Last harvest season in Washington State, millions of apples went unharvested because of immigration law. Growers from Eastern Washington came to Seattle offering transportation, housing, meals, and the opportunity to earn $100+ per day to homeless persons begging in the streets of Seattle. The offer was refused by all but a few; of those few, only about 10% stayed more than a couple of days. I have changed my attitude about "illegal" immigrants. They are far more American in spirit than most.
My boyfriend is undocumented, and he had no choice in coming to this country when he was a child. Now he does not know his home country at all, and if he was to be deported he would be in a strange land. EVEN IF YU HAVE MONEY, IT TAKES YEARS TO BECOME A LEGAL CITIZEN. He has paid everything, and his case has been pending for 12 YEARS.
The simple thing here is... if you TRULY want to help people in Latin and South America in need... help them become a citizen, it does not cost much at all (around $1,000). Instead you break the law...
@carlossalcido16 If I shoot someone in the U.S., and claim that it's not illegal, I would still go to jail for breaking the law.
The fact of the matter is that the correct term is "Illegal Alien", there is no argument over this - it is the term that is used by ALL legislation pertaining to the matter that has been drafted before the onset of political correctness. One is a thief who's snuck into your house, the other is an uninvited house-guest.
@bwc153 Estimated by whom? $300B sounds like a bogus statistic, since total 2012 U.S. Budget for welfare is approx. $60B.
The majority of illegal aliens working in the U.S. on fake documents pay IRS and SS taxes, yet they don't file tax returns. IRS keeps the money.
All of the 9/11 hijackers entered the US legally, with either student or tourist visas. Not a single one entered through Mexico.
My grandma always said you go to hell fer lyin' just the same as fer stealin'.
