In real life, Balto was trustable and had a home and owner along with his own team of dogs. People liked him and didn't tease him like they did in the film.

Yeah. Seppala is a hero too, but he shouldn't have treated Balto like that. Balto did everything humans asked of him and did it GREAT. It wasn't his fault if people messed up the facts about what really happened. He and Togo both deserve credit, along with all the other dogs and mushers on the serum run.

People! The movie just added the half wolf thing for a plot device later on. The real Balto was full siberian husky
-
Wrong sir... he was a siberian husky first of all and was not found on the streets. He was bread although he was never meant to breed himself. But ya he was a "dirty face" not a wolf. 100 percent husky.

Thank you... finally someone agrees with me

Balto was a Siberian Husky with a "dirty face". But he wasn't from a long line of great sled dogs or they wouldn't have neutered him at a young age--they would have wanted to use him to breed. He was still great. One musher said that Balto lead his team safely through a storm so bad he couldn't even see his own hands. He's still the same hero, whether he's a wolf or a dog. I'm pretty sure that's the whole concept of the movie.

@bigBoltfan1 Thats a lie. Balto started off as a street dog in real life, then when people found out he was a tame wolf dog, they decided to test out how fast he was, and because he was such a fast dog, they put him at the head of a sled team that brought back medicine in the 1900s.
