my thoughts on consciousness, as well as reading a few pages from Rudolf Steiner's book "Mystics After Modernism" about the "inside" v. "outside" dichotomy that so often confuses us.

  • i tried reading rudolf steiner and looking into anthroposophy at one point as i had been influenced by someone who was into it.... but i have to say that it left me feeling empty. i did not like it. did not find anything of substance in there.

my humble, friendy reccomendation would be to move on to something else....

(i thought it was a waste of time.)

of course, that is just my opinion, and of course you and anyone else are entitled to their own. ok. best wishes! :O)

  • @theomeow Yeah, he is definitely not for everybody. I'm most interested in his philosophical work and development of Goethe's scientific method.

  • Go back to Kant and the German Idealists and you'll find what you're looking for. Fichte, Schelling, Hegel.

  • very interesting reflections here...specially on words and the unsaid...or their meaning being alluded...that revealed to me the intrinsically creative essence of communication. Thanks!!...you are always so rewarding to hear!.

  • You could try reading his lectures for workers during construction on the Goetheanum building. They are very practical. Specially his lectures on Christianity. They have changed my life completely. But Anthroposophy is not a theory, it should be practised.

  • Steiner uses his intuitive developments in a treatise on "How to Know Higher Worlds". I haven't personally read it all yet, but it seems stellar.

  • Look at analyctic philosophy...Ludwig Wittgenstein...much more interesting on conscious thinking.
