Vergil's Aeneid was something that really inspired Frank Wedekind, the author of the original play version of Spring Awakening. You can find multiple allusions to it in the musical, but even more if you read the play.

@Musicalfreaky93 I believe that's the directing choice. The boys kind of sound like they're mindless zombies who don't ask questions. It really highlights Melchior's voice because he's the one who wants to ask questions.

this isnt a kaeroke version. this is a badly filtered version you can still hear melchior's voice behind and it sounds creeepy
