The audio is FDR's Infamy Speech or the Declaration of War speech. As always there are random facts. the only difference this time is that I kept most of the boring stuff out. Random facts like Franklin D Roosevelt was the first president to have a presidential plane. December 7, 1941
At about 6:10 I tell some facts about his speech. Though yeah some more very interesting facts about FDR and well I learned a lot and I hope you all learn something too!

  • @rabbithog Your question is valid. Yes, the US took 8 deliberate steps to provoke Japan into attacking. The objective was to gain the backing of the American people to enter the war against Hitler. We were never concerned about Japan since we controlled the amount of fuel they had and knew when it would run out. Remember, 88% of the people were against going to war. The attack changed that instantly. Please take the time to study this. It's an eye opener.

  • rossevelt brought america out of the depression, same as hitler brought germany out of the depression, think about it, is the world a better place now?

  • @rabbithog Hence Isoroku Yamamoto's "sleeping giant" quote.

  • i will never understand why japan would attack a country the size of america, it just doesnt seem right, was someone payed off? it is like waking up a sleeping giant, no sense in it at all

  • @guitaraddict211 Well, he was certainly the greatest President of the 20th Century. For the 19th Century, that honor belongs to Abraham Lincoln. The 18th Century: George Washington, of course!

  • I'm no expert on presidents, but, from all that I heard of this one, I can't help but admire him.

  • one of my favorite speeches ever
