I have racing thought and they kept me from sleeping.
Do things you enjoy and it'll help you increasingly!
I don't recommend medication.
I'm off it and I'm so happy and doing much better. Medication is not reliable for most people; It's really people who support and love you.
I have ADHD and I manage to do multiple things at once (I have some uploaded videos of me trying new things at once)
I am so happy. Been on meds since I was 17 I am 22, Medicine is horrible for some people.

@SouthernRR4501 Thanks for your comment Southern. I maintain that this is purely an issue of semantics based on a productive theory of brain:mind relationships. You would do well to consider the theories of the eminent Cambridge philosopher, C.D. Broad, in this regard. He suggested that the primary function of the brain was eliminative, not productive. Google "Eliminative materialism" if you care to find out more. Just another possible paradigm or point of view.

@aubhar Thanks for seasoning the cliche "get a life" with the ironic image of you sat in your underwear attempting to type on a computer.

You need 12 step recovery program and get a life

I know how you feel. Be STRONG! -3

@dfoxmaster Well regardless, I still think somethings not right in my head. I've thought about getting a brain scan to see if I have a brain tumor or not. I most likely don't thank god. I still think I have bipolar disorder, and if you think its a ferry tale, thats your problem, and obviously your "normal" and I'm not. I still know that nobody owes me anything though.

@nyguy18 You raise an interesting point: control. Why do we seek to control? And who is controlling what? How can we seriously aim to "confront" and then "ignore" parts of our consciousness? This sounds like contradiction, self-deception and fragmentation to me, which I suspect is the origin of the suffering in the first place. Dangerous or otherwise, I go on seeking the truth... which, I suspect, is that there is no separation between myself and the voices I hear, no matter how distasteful.

No not neccesarily a good idea. The "voices" are useful WHEN you are in control of them.
When you're not it's VERY dangerous to have an out of control mind. And has taken many lives. A person needs to learn to CONFRONT IGNORE and separate themsevles these voices.

Hi livinbipolar, I can sympathize with some of what you say. I know this sounds simple to a complicated problem but there are alot of techniques that you can learn to help with racing thoughts and then hence anxiety. You kind of have to train yourself in a way. Your therapist should be able to help you with that is kind of way of revamping your thinking like putting up reminders around your house to breath or yell stop (outloud or not) at your racing thoughts. I wish you the best!
does anyone else see these flying lights moving beside her??

How did your interview go? How is your son, did everything go ok.I hope your thoughts have slowed but probably not ,you have .alot going on.My mind is still going crazy, still waiting to see what these meds are doing as you know it takes a couple weeks so I'm trying to be patient but arggg. Let me know how things went and I'm praying for you and your son.Thanx for listening. Hang in there cause we know what the alternative is.
