Made in the 6th grade by me completely from scratch. Uses an old 1963 Wisconsin S-8D engine that took 5 re-builds, cleanings, and a month of work to get running again.

EDIT: Yea, its 1 wheel drive so I can turn on pavement without wearing down all the tread on my tires. When you go around a turn, the inside wheel spins slower than the outside wheel due to the different arcs, this is why cars have differentials. But most importantly, its 1 wheel drive because its a lot cheaper to buy 2.5ft less of axle.

Random comment, the band "Zebrahead" is amazing. Look them up and buy their albums lol.

First of all, this go cart has been dead for a good 3 years now. Shortly after this video, I scrapped it and started building a new one. The new one is completed and we clocked it in at 47mph down a dirt road. Now, that was before the engine mods. It has a Honda GX390, but now that engine has a billet piston rod, 32lbs valve springs, a 32mm Minuki carb, and no governor. As soon as it's back together, I'm putting up a driving video from some off road trails. It's green and sexy.

  • hey how did you attach your stright pipe? im real intrested:)

  • @edgarstheman22

If ya really wanna know, all i did was cut the old muffler pipe off, grab a piece of metal pipe i had, drill/tap it, adn thread in a bolt as a set screw

  • Great ingenuity! This is the kind of kart every kid dreams about but rarely achieves.

  • @minorot

ha ha ha. Well you see there was one i built before this. It was because in 4th grade i asked my mom if i could buy one and she said no. So after consulting with my friends and figuring i could make one i asked my mom if i could build one. She said sure ebcause she never thought i could do it. 3 months later and i threw together this thing with a wooden frame, lawnmower belt-drive clutch, and an old 2 cycle 3hp snowblower engine. It went like 2 mph. 2 years later i built this one
