Film showing members of the 9th Air Force in June 1944. Shots include refueling and rearming "Miss Lace" (492nd Squadron 48th Fighter Group) at A-4 (Deux Jumeaux), planes of the 389th Squadron 366th FG at A-1 (St Pierre du Mont), including the P-47 flown by Stanley Cope, UBX (bomb disposal) activity and captured German buildings in Normandy.

  • Hello Linda. I'm glad you found this of interest. I wish I had names to the men in the video. I found this at the National Archives while researching the IX Engineer Command. There may be others related to the 366th FG but I only know about ones focused on the engineers. You can search the Archives at archives.gov.
