Herman Cain at the Americans for Prosperity Foundation meeting said that America is an exceptional county, and he is 100% right about that. We are the best and maybe the last hope of the people of the world who still yearn for freedom. We are what the people of the world are waiting for.
We need to repair what is wrong with us at home, and then after that we need to continue to preach and spread human liberty throughout the world. The continent of Africa would be a good place to start. If we do not get more involved in Africa, then the Chinese and others will, and in fact they already have. Our main goal needs to be that every nation on earth is ruled in a democratic way, and this includes the countries of Africa.
Some on the right will say that it is none of our business, and that it is not our responsibility to spread individual liberty and democracy throughout the world, but they are wrong. If we do not take an active part in the world then others will, and then some day we will wake up to the fact that the rest of the world does not share our belief in freedom and democracy, and then that is when we will pay the price for our none involvement. The world will not end up free just because it is the right thing to be. We must be do our part and share the blessings of our freedom with the rest of the world; it is our duty as a free people.
Now about this Herman guy. I have listened to him on the radio when he subs for Neil Boortz, but I never have heard about his father or his bout with cancer; they both seem like inspiring stories. From the video it seems that his father knocked the block of bondage off of his shoulder when he was 18 years old when he went out into the world to make something of himself. And it also seems that Herman was taught the importance of self reliance and not blaming others for your own failings, and he has been block-less ever sense, hence his success life thus far. I like this guy. May God bless him and keep him out there fighting for human freedom.

Who is "Americans for Prosperity"?
By Felicia Sonmez
The news today that Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is launching $500,000 worth of new TV ads in Arizona targeting Democratic Reps. Ann Kilpatrick, Harry Mitchell and Gabrielle Giffords is the latest indication that conservative group will be a major player in the November midterm elections.
Americans for Prosperity's increasing involvement in races this cycle has caught the attention of the New Yorker, which earlier this week published a lengthy investigative piece on the organization's co-founder, billionaire David Koch, and his brother, Charles Koch.
The group has also drawn the fire -- and ire -- of national Democrats, including President Obama, who mentioned it by name in a speech at an Austin fundraiser earlier this month.
"Right now all around this country there are groups with harmless-sounding names like Americans for Prosperity, who are running millions of dollars of ads against Democratic candidates all across the country," Obama said. "And they don't have to say who exactly the Americans for Prosperity are. You don't know if it's a foreign-controlled corporation. You don't know if it's a big oil company, or a big bank."
So who, exactly, is Americans for Prosperity?
Americans for Prosperity, a 501(c)4, is actually one of two groups co-founded by Koch. The other, the Americans for Prosperity Foundation, is a 501(c)3.
Both organizations qualify as not-for-profit organizations under Internal Revenue Service code. A 501(c)(4) is allowed to do considerably more issue advocacy work than a 501(C)(3), however. Neither group has to disclose the identity of its donors or the amounts of money those contributors have given.
Koch, the owner of the Koch Industries oil and manufacturing conglomerate, currently serves as the chairman of Americans for Prosperity Foundation's board and is believed to be one of the group's top donors.
Over the past several years, the organization has become a powerhouse among conservative advocacy groups, running television ad campaigns and bus tours pushing for earmark reform and opposing net neutrality legislation while taking on cap-and-trade and the national health care overhaul.

I'm glad to see that the right wants democracy in other countries now. So if the muslim parties win fair and square, you won't attack them, right? Or if a left party wins, you won't tell lies to discredit them, right? Or blame them for whatever goes wrong?

@FireCannon27 As an American conservative I want Obama to show leadership and come out and say that we, with our allies if they want to, will be implementing a no fly zone over Libya in order to prevent the slaughter of the people of Libya who are attempting to overthrow their tyrannical leader. If in the end those who take control of Libya are anti-American, then so be it. We most do the right thing no matter if the outcome is against us or not.

by the way, agreed. No flying for that bastard. View of a socialist. But currently, the hands of The Netherlands are tied as Ghadaffi has three mariners in captivity. They messed up while trying to evacuate the dutch civilians (while they should just have helped the civilians who are suspressed, but that aside. My oh so right prime minister doesn't agree on that, and the leftist opposition shows no spine at all. Dutch politics, nothing ever happens.).

@FireCannon27 The thing is that doing the right thing is also a lot of the time the best thing for my country, but the two cannot be distinguished apart. For example: Help Europe and the Soviets fight against Hitler. Did we do it for Europe? Or did we do it for ourselves? It is both, but one can pick one and make us out to be self centered. I believe that a free and democratic Middle East will in the end be good for the Middle East and for us. So why do I want it to happen? Take your pick.
