Digital sucks in the US! Thank God I live near Canada and can still watch Corrie!
I know I can simply buy a bigger, uglier antenna, but I re-had & flip homes and used to like to bring along a portable to watch during downtime.
Am I going to erect some giant ass TV antenna on every house I work on? Go straight to hell digital TV! You are dead to me! When they kill broadcast radio, we should riot!

I understand this! I'd prefer static over the programming than it do this type of shit! I got 2 programs recorded with static on them and its better than freezing up and fucking shit up like digital does!

I live in North Queensland Australia which means everything I get from the south is already mediocre. I can tell you I also have a bloody awful digital signal as well, I mean I can't really watch tv half the time. When the attack happened at Utoya and I wanted to find out what was going on.... I couldn't.

DTV is an evil plot to make us buy cable. It looks horrible, like a broken youtube video.

get outdoor DTV Antenna for better reception.

This is what I think of Digital... ENTIRELY OVERRATED!

That is exactly what happens.I hate it!

MPEG2 standard definition is noisy, blocky and not brilliant;MPEG4 doubles the quality for better pictures and increases the channel choice further because of the doubling up of the compression and can even turn in HD channels with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the same bandwidth.

Don't you dare keep your analog TVs. You NEED digital because DTV has better sound and picture, more channels, and better quality. I saw waht is happening at the DTV Answers website. And they are offering $40 coupons for digital RCA converter-boxes. But if you don't want a converter-box, the easiest way to switch from analog to digital is to subscribe to a digital cable or satellite provider. I switched to Cox Digital Cable since 2003. And I love it!

I don't NEED digital at all. Why should I have to pay a subscription for TV channels that are free (cable/satellite)?
Better pictures and more channels does not make better quality. My parents have cable with 200 odd channels, and often sit just flicking through them trying to find something to watch!!
The advantage is that once switch over happens I won't have to pay a TV license as I have no equipment capable of receiving a television signal LOL
