@135indie Music is an arrangement of sounds into patterns. Doesn't matter if it's sampled as long as it's done in a musically pleasing way. I agree a lot of rap has become rather worthless, but Kanye, Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Childish Gambino, some Cudi, MF Doom, Das Racist, Wendell Patrick, and many more still keep musical, worth while rap and hip hop alive.

@135indie That's not even what music is. Music is sounds organized into a melody. The "reality" of the instruments (A computer can be considered an instrument btw) and the difficulty of which they are to play should have no bearing on the definition of music. Furthermore, a song does not have to have meaning to be nice to listen to. I feel sorry for all the people that still need stories told to them to feel good, I grew out of that years ago.

It's concidered "real" music because they use "real" instruments that take talent and time to learn. With rap it's all auto tunes and samples. The only rap that I would concider real music is the late 80s and early 90s rap like NWA. When they actually had a message and opinion in their songs that had some sort of relevance to the world
