Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association (OCA), today issued the following statement in response to just-released remarks from Senator Barack Obama about the nation's coal industry.
"Regardless of the timing or method of the release of these remarks, the message from the Democratic candidate for President could not be clearer: the Obama-Biden ticket spells disaster for America's coal industry and the tens of thousands of Americans who work in it.

Under John McCain's tax plan, Pennsylvania will gain 87,731 new jobs as opposed to only 37,794 new jobs under Obama's plan. See the Heritage Foundation Center for Data Analysis Report, No. CDA08-09.
Vote for John McCain for more jobs!

Clean Coal is simply just a theory right now. The plan is to trap the CO2 and bury it. I would like the livelyhood of "coal" companies to continue, so can't the same business, (plant,) start producing ethanol from stitch grass? Stitch grass could be planted all over the strip mines as is. Otherwise there are going to be CO2 mountains right next to the trash mountains.
To help Barack and Joe win the 2008 election:
1. Get out and vote! EARLY if possible!

If we are going to become energy independent, which we must do for national security, we must develop all available energy sources, including solar, wind, coal, oil--everything! We cannot afford to be selective at this point in time. We have the technology to develop all energy resources safely and with minimal impact on the environment.
Vote McCain/Palin!

Why does obama want to shut down all coal plants in Pennsylvania to please the enviromental wackos?
Why does obama want to take away our right to gun amunition?

OBAMA 08
Oh just side note on this ad; the Obama campaign does support clean coal, it was miss speak by Biden (one of many). Biden and Palin are terrible at that, difference is Biden is actually qualified.

WTF.. there is NO such thing as clean coal! Get rid of all coal and nuclear power plants! They're BAD! We need more wind, solar, and waste-to-energy power plants!
