I'm 17 and I wasn't born in the u.s. I came here when I was 6. I'm not a resident or a citizen. But my moms biological dad is an American Citizen and served in the Air Force . I'm determined on joining the Marine Corps. because I love my country and everything it has given me. Any advice for me? I would really appreciate it.

@Dceballos94 Well all i can say is if your mom is a citizen or a resident she could petition for you...Getting citizenship is going to be expensive and take a while so i would ask a lawyer or someone else about that....But until then all you have to do now is just do your homework, have faith, and not give up on your dreams.

i have a question i have a friend that went into boot camp and was wondering when will they be able to write and what is going on the frist week if you cant answer that then thats fine :)

@2livelikeyourdying21 Usually they start writting letters around the third week. BUT every company is different so it may be sooner or later. And during the first month, its when they really start to break you down. Where they test you and see what you are made of. it was the best worst month of my life. =D

@WRDISBOND You get your NCO Sword or Saber when you become a Non commissioned officer... for example CPL and up.
