On 1 January 2007, Adam Air Flight 574 crashed into the Makassar Strait, killing 102 people. The crew inadvertently disengaged the autopilot while trying to fix the inertial reference system, causing the plane to plunge to the water.

  • the captain is stupid, when the computer says "pull-up'' he doesnt pull it up

  • US is everywhere lol

  • I once experienced a massive delay when I went to Jakarta with my mom just a few days after the crash. The effect of this tragedy is so scary that EU dropped a ban on us for like 2 years and forcing a massive reform on our airlines. Fortunately, Indonesia's skies are much safer now

This is so far my fav Episode on ACI. One fault to note is that at the beginning, the airport is Soekarno-Hatta instead of Juanda.

  • @C0LL1N

I don't know...I think that would probably just scare the passengers or make them paranoid.

  • @blink625 try it in your car, if you use a water-earth gravity instrument, every time you accelerate fast, or take a sharp turn, it will give you a completely misleading reference as to your attitude relative to earth's gravity, you cannot possibly fly a plane based on such wrong attitude, especially on planes the acceleration can be hard to notice and be mistaken as the true gravity.

  • @blink625 remember, gravity feels the same to an object or a human, as does acceleration and centrifugal force

  • @blink625 a glass of water will not work when you are turning because of the centrifugal force, whereas the the inertial reference instrument does because it has rotating parts that maintain momentum

  • Not only are these documentarie's educational, but also informative about the dangers of airlines cost-cutting, putting money over safety first.

  • haha cheap indonesian

  • its not planes hull. its planes fuselage!!
