Turtle Heart Never Stops Beating

I was gutting out and cleaning a turtle to eat for supper. About a half hour after I had severed its head, I noticed the heart was still beating inside. I cut out the heart and it continued to beat for over a half hour.

@GreatNinjaAshy why is it unjust? People have needed to eat animals since the dawn of time to stay alive and stay healthy. Is it unjust when when a bear kills a deer to eat? What about when a frog kills a fly? Is that unjust too. Congrats on being a vegetarian guy but most people on this planet, most people in the US for that matter, aren't well enough off where they can afford the alternatives to stay healthy on a meatless diet.

@GreatNinjaAshy protein is an important part of a human diet. For 99% of the world, the only real way to get the necessary amount of protein is to eat meat. Just because you are privileged enough to have protein supplements to maintain a healthy diet without meat doesn't mean you have the right to bash people who continue to eat meat.

How can anyone even think, even seeing this as something extremely cruel, that this justifies KILLING the responsible human being by CUTTING THEIR HEART OUT. If you really think we should value animals as much as humans, shouldn't that logic lead to killing yourself unless living in perfect harmony with nature?

Regardless of this, should a man who's cut out the heart of another man have the same done to him? What a batshit crazy justice system that would be.

@reggiefavre Oh my fucking god, how can people even be so dumb as to thinking shopping at Walmart is more ethical than attaining your own food? Even disregarding all the HUMAN problems with Walmart, I'm pretty most of their meat and meat products come from terrible (yet financially efficient) practices.
