BOTY 2011 Semi final: Battle Born (USA) - Nine States B-Boyz (JAPAN)

The Braun Battle of the Year Final 2011 at the Park & Suites Arena in Montpellier, France on November 19.

******Battle Born******
Battle Born hail from Las Vegas and consist of members of b-boys ATN, Roland Blunts, Groucho, Fury, Nonski, Jafokes, Yoshi, Anthony, A.I., Ron Roxworth, Ruphio, Vidal and b-girl Chez.
The crew participates in a dozens of events such as B-Boy Massacre, B-Boy Summit and Braun Battle of the Year. B-boy ATN also took part in the latest Red Bull BC One Qualifier USA in Chicago. Many of the members have had significant experience in dance theatre shows, so we expect killer choreography and brilliant battle skillz in their routines.
The crew won the Braun BOTY USA qualifier in style on August 20 in LA, beating local crew The Squadron and Milwaukee outfit Gravity Benders. It's the first time in three years that there was an American qualifier for Braun BOTY.

******Nine Stages B-Boyz******
The Nine Stages B-Boyz literally came out from nowhere to shake up the Japanese b-boys scene, even beating well-known crew Mortal Combat at the Battle Of The Year Japan. Nine Stages b-boyz are a young and enterprising crew from the south side of Japan, an area called "Kyusyu" which means "the region of the nine states". The members of Nine Stages B-Boyz are Kyohei2, Ayumu, Yukiearth, Shinji, Yo-Suke, Hira 1, Kculara and Akira Sky.
Individually, they have won many solo b-boy contests, mainly in the Kyusyu region, but their decision to group together as a powerful collective is paying off. They are the first Japanese crew to represent their country at the Braun Battle Of The Year final from outside of Osaka and Tokyo. Watch out for their toprock, footwork and power move skills on top of their original style. Founded in 2009, this exciting crew are definitely worth keeping an eye on. No one knows what surprises they might unleash next.
