The Sweet were my absolute fave rave when I was a teenager tho' more their revved up mid-period stuff. This one is an interesting look back but the song was a pretty blatant attempt at the commercial market - the Nesmith reference back there was well observed - althoughi this was a 'b'side to 'Poppa Joe', wasn't it? Anyway, I'll always love them as the all-time greatest of the glam rock bands. Long live The Sweet!!

Sometimes the mouth movement and the music don't suit exactly .... but look at the poppy clothes ;-)

@cranidals I'll take back the "pre-glam stuff" comment. Having seen some of their stuff from 1971, it showed somewhat a glam look. So this song and video was a different for them.

Thanks for posting this video. I am much more familiar with the Sweet's music from 1973 and on, so it was nice to see pre-glam stuff from them as well.

Hilarious early "video!" This isn't a bad song. It's a light country oriented pop song. It doesn't rock like a lot of their music, but it isn't a bad song.

Is that Liam Gallagher from Oasis singing? It seems kinda old for him?

Kind of a country feel to it. Yeah It does remind me of the Monkees a little, particularily something Mike Nesmith would have written.

kein typischer sweet song - aber trotzdem klasse

Yah this is a rare one! Thanks for sharing. With half the band gone now, it's too bad we'll never get a real live reunion.
