yeah...maxtor sucks XDDD even a samsung is better =P
i had a diamond max 10...it's still working (it has less than 2 years of use)...but now i know that it will die shortly with a musical noise XDDD

bearing stuck or head stuck to platter cant spin... try rapping it on a table kinda hard ( not too hard) may free the bearing. but i cant guarntee it will read the data especially if there is been a head crash
