@penguinrawk69 You are 110% correct and J L B he had a workshop in the Queens Arcade Hastings people can find out more go to 1066 net / Baird and he was working on Radar testing it on the West Hill in Hastings and Video onto the old 78 but he could not work out how to transfer it to vision they only found this out a few years ago. They run some tests on these 78 records and they had images on them. Always remember Americans always like to lay claim to many inventions twist history.

T.V. was invented by John Logie Baird and first demonstrated it publicly in Selfridges department store, Oxford Street, London England in 1925... and in 1928 he conducted the first transatlantic television transmission! the same year Philo Farnsworth Demonstrated "his" Television...How Stuff Works should do better research and give credit where credit is due
-
He might not have got credit in his time, but he is sure known now... even got a Futurama Character named after him.... very groovy.

this is insane...

Cool America. They are able to discredit him and made his life miserable. Americans would be proud.

If you think it's sad he didn't get his due, realize there are lots of people who believe that unrestrained capitalism would have allowed him to get his due. Now remember it was a big company {RCA} that kept him from getting his due, and you'll see where I'm going with this ... -.-
ugggghhh somehow im so pissed after knowing he didnt get his due credit!
