Welcome to Let's Play Final Fantasy Tactics! Before really getting started on the game, I thought I'd take the time to answer some frequently asked questions, as well as go through the opening cutscenes. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask in the comments below. I'll be fully starting the LP some time this week.

Sorry the episode was later than usual today. Due to the nature of the recording method I'm using for this, I had some trouble rendering and compressing the video. I think I've figured it out. If you have some constructive criticism for improving this recording method, let me know.

Was this released before ff8? And what's "AOE" stand for?

@a866903 AoE = Area of Effect, for attacks that affect a wide radius.

I've played both version of FFT, and while I prefer the PS version because it doesn't have the lag issues, I do enjoy the PSP version because it goes more in-depth in the story. The voice acting and the cut scenes are a nice addition to the game too.

I don't typically use magic very much in this game so it doesn't both me all that much. I prefer to use Samurai, Lancers, Knights, etc. The biggest bother is fighting enemy mages.

As someone with an extensive knowledge and respect for the English language, it bothers me just a bit that people with no horses in said race are defending the bastardized pronunciation of "marquis."

I'm so glad you chose pronounce it Mark-ee. I vastly prefer that pronunciation.

Really? Ivalice is pronounced "ee-va-leese"? I always thought it was "eye-va-lis". I prefer the latter, sounds better to me.

@HCBailly Do you think you might do a Let's play of Vagrant Story? Or is that just not your type of game? Because watching you do a Let's play of Vagrant Story would be awesome!
