The East Lancashire Railway held their 1940's Wartime Weekend on the 29th to 31st May 2010. A lot of people put a great deal of effort into making this a wonderful event. There was a full programme of events held over the weekend. These videos were mostly shot at Ramsbottom, Irwel Vale and Rawtenstall under their assumed names for the event Ramsdown, Ross-On-Vale, Regansburg and Bury Bolton Street stations. I think everyone involved in organising this event should be very proud of themselves. I have never seen the East Lancs platforms and trains so busy, and everyone was enjoying themselves. A big Thank You to all the East Lancashire Railway Volunteers, all the performers and everyone who entered into the spirit of things. Well Done.
That battle scene looks just like a normal Saturday night out in Rawtenstall!:-) Glad it stayed fine for it this time, I got a good soaking during Saturday's shootout.

Yes Alan, I've been in a few pubs ( for a lemonade of course ) that would have made the battle scene look tame
