Norwegian Wood lesson, The Beatles, 1965, Rubber Soul ablum, one of my favorite Beatles tunes. Hope you like this cover version of this great song. To play along with the record, use a capo on the 2nd fret to play it in the key of E.

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
I, once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me
She, showed me her room, Isn't it good, Norwegian Wood

Bridge 1:
She asked me to stay, and she told me to sit anywhere
So I looked around, and I noticed there wasn't a chair

Verse 2:
I, sat on the rug, biding my time, drinking her wine
We, talked until two, and then she said, it's time for bed

Bridge 2:
She told me she worked in the morning, and started to laugh
I told her I didn't, and crawled off to sleep in the bath

Verse 3:
And, when I awoke, I was alone, this bird had flown
So, I lit a fire, isn't it good, Norwegian wood

  • the lesson is cool, but yout guitar could be in a better tune ;-)

  • Does anyone know what Dm that is?

  • You don't get enough views, this is such a great lesson!

  • @666gravity Thanks for the comment, appreciate that.

  • capo 2nd fret!

  • Thanks for posting the lesson, it is very useful and well explained. One question: the Dminor you play - the first chord in the "break" - seems to be a Bmajor7 and not a Dminor. Am I not seeing the frets you play there correctly?

  • thank you, it was really helpful! :)
