To me this was why the anime was so perfect: The entire time, you watch them look for the samurai, and when they finally find him, it doesn't seem all that life-changing and dramatic. And with them going off in their separate ways, it's like a message saying that the true beauty was not the destination but the journey to get there, and now life goes on as simple as it used to be. Great show.

For some reason, I wish Fuu surprise hugged both of them before they separated. And then in a final thing, the different paths they went on ended up meeting at one place. I mean, you just can't separate a group like that after everything they've went through. :) All that aside, this is definitely one of my favorite anime.
